Break during presentations #ECN Informal get-together
Thank you to everyone who joined the Selection Symposium of the Einstein Center for Neurosciences on 3-6 April. We are very happy to have found our new 15 Einstein PhD fellows!
Selected from a pool of over 270 applicants, we invited 41 candidates to the final symposium. 15 fellowship positions were to be awarded. Open to all students and community members, our candidates presented their scientific research and had the opportunity to get in touch with the principle investigators.
In the meantime, applicants had the chance to participate in a diverse social program entailing a Berlin city tour and trips to the Museum of Natural History and the Berlin Museum of Medical History.
Selected candidates will join the program in autumn 2017! The Einstein PhD Fellowship program will be continued with annual calls for applications in fall.
The Einstein PhD fellowship program offers a unique approach to enabling a PhD research project. All selected PhD students have the opportunity to undertake small rotation projects (i.e. two month each) in different labs for a period of six months before the start of the research work to make an informed choice about the final PhD lab.
