ECN fellow Hung Lo is selected for the Young Investigator Training Program for FENS 2022.
The award can be used to cover travel expenses within France and other costs associated with visiting the host laboratory. Hung Lo will stay in the lab of Dr. Gabrielle Girardeau, Inserm, Paris, France.
Hung Lo will collaborate in the laboratory working on the following research focus: Studying emotional memory encoding and consolidation during different sleep phases in the amygdala and the hippocampus with freely moving in vivo ephys recording.
About The Young Investigator Training Program
The Young Investigator Training Programme is organised by the Société des Neurosciences Host Society Committee (HSC) and sponsored by IBRO-PERC.
It consists of 2-3 week placements in host laboratories around France prior to the FENS Forum in Paris. As part of the programme, the selected researchers will have the opportunity to work within defined research environments in France in order to get familiarised with different facilities and techniques in neuroscience, as well as expanding their research network. About the person
Hung Lo is a PhD fellow at the Einstein Center for Neurosciences Berlin and
Medical Neurosciences at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
He is currently working in the lab of Friedrich Johenning and Dietmar Schmitz (lab website). His PhD projects are focusing on olfaction and eating behaviors by using in vivo & in vitro optic- & electrophysiological methods in the mouse model.
